Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

KickOff ("we", "our", "the App") is a football information app for iOS. KickOff has no user accounts — there is no sign-up, login, name, or email collected anywhere in the App. This Privacy Policy describes what data the App collects, why, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.

1. App Identifier — and No Tracking

The App uses a random identifier associated with your installation so that your follows, reminders, and notification settings work reliably. This identifier is not your name, email, or Apple ID and is not linked to your real-world identity; we nevertheless treat it, and the data associated with it, as personal data under applicable law.

The App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA), and contains no advertising or ad-measurement SDKs. Because no tracking occurs, the App does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.

2. Data We Collect and Why

3. Third-Party Services

API-Football (api-sports.io) — the source of all football data shown in the App (fixtures, scores, standings, statistics, lineups, and match predictions). Requests for this data do not include your app identifier or follows. Some content (such as team and league images) is delivered from this provider's content servers, which — like any web content delivery — involves processing your IP address. See API-Football's privacy policy.

OneSignal — used to deliver push notifications. If you enable notifications, OneSignal may automatically collect the technical information needed to deliver them, such as a push token and basic device information. OneSignal may process this data on servers located outside your country. See OneSignal's Privacy Policy for details of what they collect and how they handle it.

Match predictions shown in the App are generated by API-Football's own prediction engine from public match data — no personal or device data is used to produce them.

We require that the third parties named above provide protection for your data equal to or stronger than the protections described in this policy, and we share with them only what is necessary to provide the relevant feature.

4. Analytics

The App does not currently transmit usage analytics to any third-party analytics service. We may introduce anonymous, aggregated usage analytics in the future to improve the App; this policy will be updated first if that changes.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process the app identifier, follows, and reminders on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the App's core features (follows, reminders, personalization). We process push registration and notification data on the basis of your consent, given when you enable notifications, which you may withdraw at any time (see Section 7).

6. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your data, and we do not "share" it as that term is defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not share data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is disclosed only to the service providers named in Section 3, solely to operate the App's features on our behalf.

7. Data Retention and Your Choices

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Because KickOff has no accounts, we may be unable to verify which installation a request made by email relates to; where that is the case, the most reliable way to remove your data is to uninstall the App, which stops all collection immediately and triggers automatic deletion under the retention terms above. For any request, contact us at support@kickoff-sports.app and we will do what we reasonably can with the information you provide. We aim to respond within 30 days.

9. International Data Transfers

Our servers and the third-party providers listed in Section 3 may be located in a country different from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for any such transfers.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data described in this policy. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

KickOff is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes affecting your rights, we will provide additional notice where required by law (for example, an in-app notice).
